John-Paul Corrigan

Dr Corrigan works a Consultant Clinical Psychologist within the Occupational Health Service, Belfast HSC Trust. He has specific interests in the assessment and treatment of adult mental health problems, particularly stressor related difficulties. Dr Corrigan leads a team of psychological practitioners who provide services to staff members experiencing mental health problems in the context of their work. He currently leads on research initiatives to improve the access and quality of psychological interventions to healthcare staff, in collaboration with Queens University Belfast. This includes online and novel approaches to treatment of mental health problems in this population. He has published peer reviewed research, particularly within the area of PTSD, alongside leaders in the field. Dr Corrigan is passionate about cultural change in relation to attitudes regarding mental health in the workplace and has interests in proactive approaches, such as reflective practice. Outside of work, he is a runner, cyclist, and sourdough bread enthusiast.
