Johanna Feary

Dr Johanna Feary is an NHS Respiratory Consultant at Royal Brompton Hospital specialising in Occupational Lung Disease and Asthma and a Senior Clinical Research Fellow at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. She is one of three consultants in the ‘Lungs At Work’ clinical service at the Brompton which sees over 300 new referrals each year, most of whom are referred directly from Occupational Health. She has a particular interest in occupational asthma and recently completed a NIHR post-doctoral fellowship on the epidemiology and immunology of laboratory animal allergy. Her current research projects include the cardiorespiratory health of firefighers who attended the Grenfell Tower Fire and the association between occupational exposures and small airways disease. She is Chair of the British Thoracic Society Specialist Advisory Group on Occupational and Environmental Disease and a member of the Group of Occupational Respiratory Disease Specialists (GORDS).
